Loft-style living comes to Dover with transformation of Buckland Mill
Gillcrest Homes has transformed Dover’s former Buckland Mill with a stunning development of one- and two-bedroom duplex apartments. Clocktower Lofts provide loft style living space with open plan kitchens and spiral staircases. Prices start from £125,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and £159,995 for two-bedrooms. All apartments have secure basement parking.
Dover has a long history of milling thanks to the River Dour which runs through the town. This gave rise to a number of the town’s industries, including paper making. A paper mill has existed on the site since the 18th century, and Wiggins Teape made paper in Dover up until in 2000 when the site was acquired by the then South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
Phase 3 of the development will see new houses built on the site along with a range of community facilities. There are plans to open up the river walk as a popular local amenity.
- The Clocktower Lofts development is being marketed by local estate agents, Miles & Barr.
- The development is being carried out by Gillcrest Homes.
