Disney to sail round Britain cruise from Dover in 2016
Disney Cruise Line is to sail its first round Britain cruise from Dover in 2016 as part of a programme of home port cruises from the Port of Dover, the UK’s second busiest cruise port. Disney will also sail from Dover to the Baltic and Norwegian Fjords.
Disney Cruise Line first set sail from Dover in 2010, and is back in 2015 for a series of Baltic cruises starting on 10 July.
The Port of Dover attracts over 100 cruise calls each year and handles an average of 250,000 passengers through its two dedicated cruise terminals. Dover Harbour Board recently invested £10 million in a new roof on the Grade II listed cruise terminal 1, a former Victorian railway station.
The 84,000gt, 2,700 passenger Disney Magic will sail from Dover on its first round Britain cruise on 5 June 2016.
