Developers set sights on coastal retirement living in Deal and Dover
Two of the UK’s leading developers and managers of retirement communities have set their sights on the Dover district with brand new developments in Deal and Dover.
Churchill Retirement Living are currently marketing their Goodwin Lodge development on Ark Lane in Deal which comprises 41 private one and two bedroom apartments specially-designed for the over 60s, with features such as a video-entry system, lifts to all floors, a 24-hour Careline support system, and a Lodge Manager.
Meanwhile in Dover, McCarthy & Stone are about to start construction on its Retirement Living Plus development at The Old Sorting Office on Charlton Green in Dover, which will feature a collection of 70 one and two bedroom apartments for people aged 70 and over. The former Royal Mail sorting office was allocated for residential development as part of Dover District Council's Land Allocations Plan adopted in 2015.
