Saga's Spirit of Discovery floats ahead of July naming in Dover
Saga's brand new cruise ship, Spirit of Discovery, took to the water for the first time on 12 May. The 58,250gt cruise ship was floated out of Meyer Werft's building hall in Papenburg, Germany in the early hours of Sunday morning. As she emerged from the building hall her distinctive yellow funnel was added to the superstructure.
Spirit of Discovery will be officially named in a glittering ceremony in Dover on Friday, 5 July before embarking on her inaugural voayage from the Port of Dover on Wednesday, 10 July.
A sistership, Spirit of Adventure, is currently also under construction at Meyer Werft.
