Aylesham Village Expansion

Kent’s Garden Village

Set halfway between the cathedral city of Canterbury and the port of Dover on the Kent coast, Aylesham Garden Village will comprise a total of 1,200 new homes featuring a mixture of 2, 3 and four bedroom properties. Aylesham is the largest village in east Kent, offering the feel of modern urbanism in the rural idyll.

Each home planned for Aylesham Garden Village has been designed with facades in keeping with the character of the village. The attractive and thoughtful house designs will integrate, yet add an exciting contemporary edge, to the development. Designs focus on providing generous space, good levels of parking and private gardens, reflecting the ‘Garden Village’ ethos.

Planning for the project was granted in 2012 and building work commenced in 2014.

The first 700 homes had been completed and occupied by the summer of 2019 with around another 120 under construction. Planning permission has been granted to both builders, Barratt Homes and Persimmon Homes, to continue building the next stage of the development, phase 1B,consisting of 572 more homes.
